The walk towards the lighthouse is the most varied form the point of view of the panorama along the walk step by step as you walk towards “Punta di Capel Rosso”.

After having walked through a field of wild olive trees (called littlle olive grove) the footpath leads to a fascinating panorama towards both sides of the island:on one side Cala Ischiaola and the island of Giglio and on the otherside "Cala Volo di Notte” and “Ansedonia”. 

You then arrive to the plain of “Vigna Vecchia”’, where it is still possible to see the old farm-house, once was the residence of lighthouse guardian, and where it is possible to rest in the shade of a fresh pine-wood field before starting for the second part of the walk.

Along the path there are thick areas of typical Mediterranean vegetation on both sides, with the perfumed smell of wild rosemary shrubs, heather, juniper, “cisto marino”, “lentisco”, myrthe, and still others.I

The lighthouse is situated above the  Grottoni. The cliffs are very beautiful, 100 metres high, projecting rocks that come out of the sea with a spectacular view, one of themost beautiful in all of the Mediterrean.
